Hi
Is there a forum location that has discussed this please? I need to know the efficiency of a pump for different supply and input water temperatures.
What are the pumps capable of? When selecting a pump does the manufacturer give you all the information you need?
Is it a science or trial and error and hope for the best??
Which manufacturers pumps are best suited for providing high temperatures for radiators, for curve of 42 @ 0, 59 @ -20?
Sorry. So many questions and i just dont know where to get the answers via the web. Manufacturers dont seem to supply much information? Eg Cop graphs for different temperatures?
Thanks
Andrew

Not sure how much you can trust on wikipedia but there's told like this;
COP is 2.4 at output temp. of +65 and 2.9 at +55
See COP and lift table;

From this page you can get a collection of all pumps and data.
http://www.maalampofoorumi.fi/index.php?topic=64.0
Klick there red text ---> "luettelo Suomessa myytävistä maalämpöpumpuista!"
There on the bottom part of page you can select two types of pumps
1. "varaajalla koottain" ==> Pumps with thermal accu (Thermal accu inside in pump cabinet)
2. "varaajatta koottain" ==>Pums without thermal accu (= Separate heat tank outside of pump cabinet)

Hello,
fyi, there is inverter pumps at least nibe 1150 and IVT X15; advantage of inverter pump is that it can adjust power of pump based on actual need; for example nibe 1150 output power at 0/+45 can variate from 3.9kw to 15.8kw (without resistances).
http://www.nibeonline.com/pdf/031225-1.pdf
Max. outgoing water temp. is +65.
http://www.nibe.fi/fi/Tuotteet/Maalampopumput/Tuotevalikoima/NIBE-FIGHTER-1150/
Korkeat lämpötila-alueet:
– Maks. menolämpötila 65 °C
– Maks. paluulämpötila 56 °C
Inverter technology in heat pumps is pretty new so not known how well these work in practise and inverter pumps are also more expensive as traditional pumps, but I guess this type of pump would suite well to your house

Thanks. Very interesting! I just spent a few hours reading the english manual.
